July 2007: 1. Eye camps at Madhugiri, Sira conducted. Total I.O.L operations- 440 numbers. August 2007: 1. Mega Blood donation camp planned on 10th August at South Asea Bible College, Kothanur, Bangalore. During Lionistic year 2006-07, achievements of our club: 1. 2nd position in District 2. Best club in service activity 3. Best I.O.L. surgery 4. DG appriciation for generous contribution to LCIF(CSF II) 5. Total 8 MJF (5 added this year) 6. Totally 29 awards were received by the club. Club Activities : AUGUST 2007 1. 25TH CHARTERNITE CELEBARATIONS and DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISIT on 31.08.2007 at 7:00PM at South Rotary Hall, K.R.Road Bangalore. 2. Inaugaration of newly built class rooms at lions high school, Hosadoddi on 31.08.2007 at12:30PM at Lions High school, Hosadoddi 3. Vanamahostsava - Planting of saplings on 31.08.2007 at 12:30PM at Lions High school, Hosadoddi Eye camps are held regularly in rural areas surrounding Bangalore. After eye screening the patients are brought to the eye hospital at Bangalore, I.O.L. operations are conducted and patients droped back to their place. All expenses of transportation, stay and food are taken careof. During lionistic year 2006-07 5200 operations have been carried out. LCBJ SERVICE TRUST- PERMANENT PROJECTS: 1. ASHADEEP - OLD AGE HOME: The trust runs old age home in a building built on its own land. Accomodation is avilable for 16 inmates. All facilities like Food, Entertainment, health care etc.. are taken care of. 2. LIONS HIGH SCHOOL- HOSADODDI, KANAKAPURA ROAD ,BANGALORE: Located in a rural area near Bangalore, the high school provides FREE education, books, unforms, and mid day meal to around 250 students from near by rural area. Effort is made to provide very good education, computer knowledge and good hands on experience in laboratories. The entire expenditure is raised by the club members and philonthrophic donors. Donations can be made by cheque/DD in favour of Lions club of Bangalore Jayanagar Service Trust, paybele at Bangalore. All donations are exempt from Inocome Tax under section 80G
